An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technician working within the Iseries Service Support team. The successful candidate will join a small hard-working team. They will lead from the front, promote and achieve Iseries deliverables, initiatives & cost savings. They will take ownership of Incidents, Project deployments and situations as they occur and provide a first-class support to the existing Services. Our workload is critical and high profile, so you will be expected to self-manage in a professional and proactive manner in conjunction with your Manager who will assign your tasks.

Leading from the front, Ownership and Accountability
Providing Guidance and Support to stakeholders
Improving our delivery through innovation, continuous improvement and automation
Supporting live service through the proactive identification of risk and swift resolution of live issues.
Engineering systems to be more reliable and scalable
Identifying Cost savings
Providing consultancy to project & technical teams to ensure our solutions meet the organisation’s operational and strategic needs
Collaborating with internal and external parties to provide excellent customer service
Coordinating and delivery of DR plans
We need you to have…
Previous experience of Iseries / Power7 / Logical partitioning
Ability to lead other Technical resources as well as the ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for team deliverables
Self-motivation - ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
Strong technical expertise and decision-making skills
Ability to cope with multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal, communication & relationship skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Delivery focused and able to work under pressure
Willingness to operate in a flexible environment and embrace change
Good organisational and time management skills
