You will design, establish and a lead continuous service improvement system across the IT infrastructure services for a set of enterprise business services. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Services, you will be responsible for continuous services improvement across the Enterprise Services organisation. Don't worry you will not be doing this on your own, you will have a team of senior technical specialists in Identity Management, Collaboration, Windows Server Platform, and Group Desktop Services to support you!
The Technical Manager role is about…
Advocating continuous service improvement in IT Infrastructure services, with a strong focus on business service quality and end user experience.
Managing and leading senior technical specialists (4-5 people) across the Identity Management, Collaboration, Windows Server Platform, and Desktop Services teams
Designing an approach to continuous service improvement across the Enterprise Services organisation.
Introducing and establishing an effective management system with key performance indicators of service improvement.
Managing the relationship with Service Managers, understanding the business service priorities and applying them to the service improvement system.
Celebrating and publicising the successes of the organisation in delivering business change, improving service quality, and enhancing end user experience.
We would love you to have…
A successful track record of introducing transformative change in an IT Infrastructure organisation.
Previous experience of managing and developing senior technical specialists.
Superb communication skills with previous experience of successfully managing stakeholders and motivating in a matrix organisation.
Recent experience of IT in a banking organisation.
SME experience in continuous service improvement.
A real passion for continuous improvement with the drive and determination to bring your team and stakeholders on the journey.
Now for the Techy part …
Have ITIL v3 certification.
Have a technical awareness of Windows, ESX, storage, Lotus Domino/Notes, Office365, Active Directory, IBM Security Identity Manager, IBM Security Access Manager.
