The Incident Response Analysts role is about…
As an Information Security Incident Response Analyst you will operate Incident Response activities directly related to security incidents, supporting the activities of the Information Security department and the wider company, and responding to a wide variety of incidents relating to both malicious activity and inadvertent actions. Managing both reactive and proactive activities to strengthen the security posture of the bank.

Practical experience of Security Incident Management or experience in IT Incident Management (Incident & Problem Management)
Ability to make sound decisions and judgements under pressure
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Highly effective interpersonal skills, relationship skills, and written/verbal communications skills, with an ability to see and communicate Information Security challenges in Business terms
An ability to motivate and influence others, and to negotiate and build consensus
Good combination of technical knowledge and technical aptitude for Data loss tools / controls
Manage Lessons learned and Post Incident reviews
Effective management of Risks identified from Incident / event management
Remediate Root cause and drive solutions plans
We would like you to have…
Practical experience of Information Security frameworks and knowledge of Data Security & Privacy, Network Security, 3rd Party Security, Cryptography, Access Control, Security Incident Management and Problem Management
Understanding of the attack vectors, methods and actors in relation to cyber security and experience in developing and testing cyber scenarios
Working knowledge of Data loss prevention controls
Understanding of the related technical controls which prevent Cyber Crime
Working knowledge of information security related policy, standards and methodologies and associated information security legislation and scheme standards
An understanding of the Financial Services regulated environment within the UK and the requirements of Information Security within it
Certified Incident Handler qualification or similar
Awareness of Office 365 and other Cloud services
Understanding of the GDPR regulation and activities required to support compliance of this
Practical experience of Red-team exercises for information security incidents
