In this role you would lead the Core Banking team in Technology Operations, and be responsible for our mainframe, enterprise workload scheduling, mainframe storage, CICS/MQ and AS/400 midrange technical personnel as they support the production service and deliver change into this critical platform at the heart of the bank’s information technology capability.  You would manage the team to ensure that we have the right skills and capacity to transform the bank and deliver a first class service to our customers.

The Core Banking Team Lead role is about…

  • Managing demand into the team, and supply of technical services to meet that demand.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across service management, project delivery, and senior management.
  • Managing the skills, capacity and performance of the core banking team.

It’s essential you have…

  • A passion for forming effective working relationships and leading a technical team in a demanding environment.
  • Great organisational and communication skills, and an aptitude to thrive under pressure.
  • Recent experience of successful team leading and people management of technology experts.
  • Recent experience of delivering Information Technology in the banking industry.

We would like you to have…

  • A strong technical heritage of IBM mainframe and related technologies.
  • A knowledge of enterprise workload scheduling.
  • A knowledge of mainframe disaster recovery.
